Why is this step important?

This guide is offered the fifth day of class.
Today, most employers use talent management software to manage the applicants resumes. Although employers are just as eager to fill their open positions as the candidates who seek them, applying for a job is no longer a numbers game. If the first few employers did not view a resume as a match for a given position, chances are other employers will not either. Therefore, if your resume is not receiving employer responses, continuing to submit it to other employers is counterproductive. Once the employer has responded, however, it is equally as important to be prepared for the interview.

Guide 5 is the final step and offered during day five and six of the Get Back to Work now workshops. After learning the best strategies to apply and interview, the applicant is matched with employers looking for his or her skills.
